"Conversations"

This piece is about the invisible spaces between people’s conversations: the pauses, the glances, the unspoken things. After living with a disability, I’ve often felt like life keeps moving faster than I can follow, like I’m watching from just outside the frame. “Conversations” came from that feeling, but also from the need to paint my way back into the dialogue.

Through texture and movement, I explore what it means to belong, to be seen and heard even when words fall short. I wanted it to feel fun and playful, because I want conversation to stay that way when I’m part of it. Each mark is a voice, layered and imperfect, responding to the others. Together, they form a rhythm that feels whole.

For me, this work is an affirmation that art itself is a conversation, one that welcomes everyone, regardless of pace, body, or circumstance. A reminder that we all deserve to be part of the talk.
